Why I wanted to be EK's Sweetheart

I wanted to be TKE sweetheart because these guys have been so welcoming, supportive, and have become some of my best friends. They are all such amazing people and I wanted to be able to do something for them

Sofia Boltz

About Sofia

Why I wanted to be EK's Sweetheart

I wanted to be EKs sweetheart because of how much TKE has done for me over the past three years I’ve been at Loyola. I wanted to be there for them as they have been there for me.

Mia De La Rosa

About Mia

Mia is a junior at Loyola, majoring in Environmental Science! She is an active member in her sorority Phi Sigma Sigma, and loves watching mob movies.

Why I wanted to be EK's Sweetheart

I wanted to be TKE’s sweetheart because I felt as if I could represent the chapter through the ideals and morals the gentlemen have instilled within each and every one of their active and new members. Having the honor to exemplify a fraternity that stands for so much uniqueness, empowerment, and love is something I want to be a part of and show contribution not only from my own beliefs, but what my sorority sisters have taught me since initiation. I wanted to be apart of an organization that was more than just members, but brothers that cared for each other and cared for how their fraternity is represented.

Sophie Tangel

About Sophie

Sophie is now a sophomore, becoming a TKE sweetheart and Kappa Kappa Gamma as a freshman. She is from Peoria Heights and came to Loyola to study marketing, film, and digital media. A fun fact about Sophie is she has five brothers and one of them is her twin!

Why I wanted to be EK's Sweetheart

TKE's have been so generous and welcoming to me ever since the first weeks I got to school at Loyola. I ran for sweetheart because I wanted to be surrounded by individuals as genuine, unique, and open-minded as the members of Epsilon Kappa.

The Epsilon-Kappa Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon at Loyola University Chicago was installed as a chapter on May 12, 1956.

Since 1899, Tau Kappa Epsilon has never had an exclusionary clause for membership. TKE does not judge men on their wealth, rank or honor, but instead on their personal worth and character.

Our mission is to "to aid men in their mental, moral, and social development for life." In essence, we build Better Men for a Better World.
